How does this tool work?
Online Website Previewer simulates how your website appears on a phone, tablet, and computer by displaying it at three common viewport sizes: 390 × 375 pixels, 768 × 1024 pixels, and 1920 × 1280 pixels. This allows you to see
exactly how your site adapts to different screen sizes and resolutions.
How can I test my website with this tool?
Simply enter your website’s domain name (for instance, www.example.com or example.com—the tool will automatically add “https://” at the beginning) and click the “Go!” button. Your site will load in three mock
devices, ready for you to interact with.
Can I preview any website using this tool?
You can’t preview every website with this tool. Many major websites block their pages from being displayed inside other sites using iframes, so if you try to load one of those, the preview will appear blank.
Can I interact with the website inside the preview?
For the most part, yes, you can interact with your website inside the preview. For example, you can scroll and click buttons just as you would on a real device. For security reasons, you cannot submit forms through the preview.
Does this tool work with local websites or localhost?
No, Online Website Previewer cannot display websites hosted on localhost or private IP addresses unless your local server is accessible from the public internet. Only public websites can be previewed.
Does this tool support password-protected websites?
If your site requires a login (such as basic authentication or a password prompt), the previewer may not work as expected, because it won't be able to log in or bypass authentication screens.
Why do some fonts or images look different in the preview?
Some external resources (like fonts or images) may be blocked by the website or by browser security settings when loaded through an iframe, which can cause the site to appear slightly different than it does in a direct browser
tab.
My website appears broken. What should I do now?
Talk to your developers. Online Website Previewer is designed to show how responsive designs adapt to different screen sizes. However, if your website uses advanced technology or restricts iframing, the preview may not display
accurately. Sometimes, your website may look broken in the preview, even if it actually works correctly. Other times, it really is broken and needs to be fixed.
